چکیده
Abstract The aim of this research was to evaluate the effect abscisic acid (ABA) on gas exchange and activity antioxidant enzymes Ormosia arborea (Vell.) Harms seedlings under water deficit its influence recovery potential seedlings. experiment conducted using four treatments, being daily irrigation or restriction without with 10 μM ABA. Seedlings + ABA showed greater adjustment drought, when re-irrigated, they restored photosynthetic metabolism potential. minimizes reduction in leaf, however, it does not increase O. deficit. These results suggest that species exhibits plasticity, which enables survive also environments subjected temporary regardless supplementation We other doses be researched expand beneficial species.

Improving essential oil content and yield of ajowan organs under water stress by application of salicylic acid and abscisic acid
This research was carried out in 2014 and 2015 to assess the effects of salicylic acid (SA)(0 and 1 mM) and abscisic acid (ABA) (0 and 50 µM) on essential oil content and yield ofajowan (Carum copticum L.) organs under different irrigation intervals (I1, I2, I3, I4: irrigationafter 70, 100, 130 and 160 mm evaporation, respectively). Plants were sprayed by SA and ABAat vegetative and reproductiv...
متن کاملMorpho-anatomical changes and photosynthetic metabolism of Stenocereus beneckei seedlings under soil water deficit.
Characteristics developed by Cactaceae for adaptation to climates where water is limited include crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM), a thick cuticle, and spines and trichomes that intercept a proportion of solar radiation. A few studies consider morpho-anatomical and physiological characteristics of Cactaceae seedlings, which may help understand their establishment, growth, and eventual reprodu...
متن کاملAbscisic Acid Metabolism in Water-stressed Bean Leaves.
Phaseic acid (PA) and dihydrophaseic acid (DPA) are the major metabolites observed when (S)-2-(14)C-abscisic acid (ABA) is fed to 14-day excised primary bean leaves (Phaseolus vulgaris L. cv. Red Kidney). The distribution of (14)C in leaves which were wilted after feeding ABA appears to be the same as that observed in unwilted leaves. A reduction in the relative specific radioactivities of the ...

In the present study, the effect of seed priming with magnetic field (MF; 45, 90, 200 and 250mT for 5, 10, 20 and 30 min) was evaluated in 60-day-old Hyssopus officinalis plants grownunder 8 days irrigation intervals. The assessments were consisted of biomass, membranestability, photosynthetic pigments concentrations, polyphenols content, antioxidant enzymesactivities an...
